Enough. Seriously.

Okay so I am not sure if I posted about this, but the day before we left home Rob was diagnosed with valley fever. (Google it...its nasty stuff).  And although it caused fungal pneumonia, we werent super concerned as its totally treatable and not contagious. Whew!

Well today the health dept calls and says they were notified that he has pertussis (whooping cough).  We were like no he has valley fever, hung up with them and immediately started calling our drs office.  After leaving a msg, they called back and affirmed that he did have a test come back posi for whooping cough!!!!!  Nice of them to call us!!!  UGH.

What we are hoping is that his recent vaccination, less than a month ago, is the reason the results came back positive and not that he really has it.  But seriously what a mess.  Needless to say, I grabbed Evelyn and headed for my mom's as she hasnt been immunized yet.  I would put him in quarantine if I could. Seriously.  So now we wait for tomorrow morning to hear from our drs office if they believe he really does actually have it or if his elevated levels could be from his immunization.  O and did i mention that the meds they prescribed him for it require him to have an ekg in 2-3 days?  Seriously...what a mess.  Poor Robin.
