Our House

Volunteering at Addison's school is one of the best parts of my day. I love that her face lights up when she sees me come in and I love bringing her home with me at the end of the day. If you volunteer with children, you cannot be a grouchy person. I feel like I smile all day.

Sicky girls

Evelyn got up this morning with puffy eyes and green booger eyes.  Poor sweet baby girl.

Breakfast...

Between Allie coughing half the night and then throwing up, (two nights in a row), and my brain making constant midnight "to-do" lists, I am exhausted.

Pumpkin carving fun!

Addison is doing hers tonight and the girls are doing theirs tomorrow morning.  So much fun!

The first Christmas decoration of the year is up...notice the Halloween spider webs are not down yet. LOL.

PILE O' PORK

So yesterday I took Robbie to the grocery with me.  Don't ask me why- I know better.  But along he came.

For some reason we ended up with separate carts and each took a little girl.  Upon meeting at the bakery, we joined forces and headed for the checkout.  It was not until then that I realized he had gone rogue.
I could not resist taking a photo as I am sure this will NEVER happen again...

Yes, the above pic contains: 2 packages of sausage dogs, a container of lunch meat, bacon, sausage patties and 2 containers of pork chops.  The sheer quantity was the shocking element here.

So fast forward to this morning when he remembers he bought this treasure chest of travesty.  Like a kid on Christmas morning he pulls out the bacon and sausage and places them both in front of Allie and says, "Ok lady, bacon or sausage?", to which she replies, "which one is bacon?".  I almost nearly died laughing.

and it gets worse....

Then I went and got Macie up and said, "hurry honey, Daddy made you eggs and bacon".....no reply.  "Honey, do you know what bacon is?",  an emphatic NO was the response.  Robbie may be crushed right now.  LOL

But once she came down and saw what it was and tried it, he was redeemed!  Robbie just asked if the girls liked the bacon and they both said they did.  I don't mind if they eat it either....a few times a year at restaurants where I don't have to have my house smell like cooked pig all day.  GROSS.  There is not enough scentsy in the world...
but at least they enjoyed it.

60

Tomorrow the forecast says a high of sixty degrees.  I am elated.

Happy Sunday

It's a denim day :)
As we were sitting in Sacrament Meeting today, Addison looked over at the blazer I was wearing and said, "Mom, I love your jacket thing, do you think you can get me one for Christmas?".
Omygosh all my dreams are coming true.  LOL

Buddies

Mollie sleeps in Evelyn's room every night since we put her dog door in.  She likes to have the nest of blankets and usually burrows under them.  This makes Macie Angry.  The only tiff they've had since this arrangement was reached, I heard Evelyn kinda shouting at Mollie, "I said get out of there, I can not see you!".  Then she kicked Molllie out of her room.  That lasted for two days until I explained to Evelyn that it was none of her business how Mollie wanted to sleep.  They have an understanding now: Mollie stays unburrowed until Eve goes to sleep, then she burrows. Lol.  Funny buddies.
