Magic hair

This is how the tease goes:  "Momma just put some lotion on my head and then my hair just...Grew".  Hehe giggle giggle.

Right after Eve was diagnosed my s.i.l. Rachel volunteered her hair, and to have a wig made for Evelyn.  SO SO NICE.  And making a high quality wig is a lengthy process so two days ago, it arrived!  And it is AMAZING! 
I really wasn't sure if Eve would take to it, but considering she wears it All the time and cried when I said she probably shouldn't sleep in it,...ya I would say she took to it!   I will post more pics tomorrow before church because she has already said she for sure wants to wear it. :)  thank you thank you Sweet Rachel. ♥

Kinder day!

Addison went back to school at the beginning of this week and she was excited to do so.  
Herr is a poc of my kinders- Out with the old (Addi), and in with the new, (Allie).  We got to see all that Addison has done this year and also show Al what she will be doing next year.  Very exciting for her.  She is ready to start!

This is Evelyn getting her FINAL chemo.  She and Rob fell asleep waiting for it and did not wake up until after it had been administered.  So take that chemo---you are not even important enough to wake up for!!

They loved the car and everything else, there was no coming down off our cloud that day!

That was so awesome!  Shannon just came by the house and Evelyn and I had gotten out on the top of the patio cover and were ready for him.  He buzzed twice and we were so close to him.  Evelyn was waving like crazy! Then he hit the siren and Evelyn went nuts.  How awesome was that?!?!?!  Thank you Shannon.   :)

Robbie sent me this photo last night and said that Evelyn was happy to show him that her hair is reeeeally coming in fast!  Lol.  She's gorgeous

I know I have said this before on the this blog but it is impressing upon me tonight more strongly than ever.
I have always been cognizant of the moments in my life when I can see my children be who they truly Are deep inside; who they were before they came to earth and who I feel they are striving to again become.  It is the most pure form of themselves.  Those moments are rare and priceless. 

As we have watched Evelyn take this journey those moments have seemed impossible.   Between the treatments and the chemo drugs and the pain that they impose upon her body,  she was simply surviving.  But tonight Evelyn's pain level has dipped.  we haven't had chemo in 2 weeks and she has been a little more herself today. 
She snuck in to my room tonight late and said she was too hot in her room.   We both went back to her room and I changed her in to cooler pajamas.  As I was finishing, she slowly put her arms around my neck and held me.  Not hugged me or I her, but held me.  And then she said,  "I love you Mama".  Not like a baby would, but as a girl.  A girl who has done stuff, a girl who has endured. 
I am thankful to my Heavenly Father for giving me this gift and for giving me the ability to recognize it. 
Evelyn has a special soul and as i tell her nightly,  "I am so Lucky to be your Momma,  I am so blessed that you are mine".
Girls,  I know in my soul we were meant for each other.  I have loved you for much longer than the years you have been here with me and I look forward with joy to the many more years I will enjoy who you are.  I love you, Mom

Each of the girls got to make their own pizza strip tonight. It was fun and Addison was the weird no cheese child.  :) 

Marathon Eve

This is myself and my friend Heather the night before the marathon.  Heather was the person that got me running in the first place and because of her I finished my first half marathon at OC in 2012.  Now here we are 2 years later and I have completed my first full marathon.  I needed the halves in 2012 and 2013 and I needed the full last week.  I will always be thankful for this gift Heather has given me and for her in my life. 

Well that's a first!

This picture tells a thousand words. I chose this tree last week and when Robbie went to plant it today Addison wanted to help. Well she started digging and did not stop. She dug the entire hole until Robbie had to get out his pick to break up the earth. She said her back was sore tonight and needed to get in the hot tub.  ;)  she's a smart one.  ;)  thanks for planting my tree Adds!

Today was the Antelope Valley Law Day awards at the fairgrounds.  It was a great event and I loved attending to honor Robbie.  He is a great example of what an officer should be.  I am so proud of him.
