Addison is sooo big!

Addison is now over 25 inches long. To me before the baby, that was just a number, but I seriously can't even tell you how tall she is. So tall! Some of her pants that are 6 months are too short for her already, it's crazy. But I do not want her to grow out of this outfit, it's my favorite. Aunt Jana gave it to her before she was born and it is SO cute! Thanks Jana!

In a better place...

My friend Julie called me last night and told me that she had heard that President Hinckley had passed but she wasn't sure if it was true. My first instinct was such sadness, and to say a prayer that it wasn't true. We need him. He was my prophet after all and such a divine and perfect leader for our times. After talking with Rob I realized that President Hinckley is now with his beloved wife and encircled in the arm's of The Saviour's love. He is knowing his greatest joy and there is peace in that.

How much is that doggie in the window?

Addison has now discovered Mollie. A few days ago she decided Mollie could be fun to play with, so ever since then she has been reaching and rolling and doing everything she can to get close to her. Once within reach Mollie becomes the victim of ear pulling, and face pinching. Mollie is a very patient little sweetie and it's really very cute.

First try for Rice Cereal

Well, we went to the pediatrician yesterday and all the news is good. She is still taller than 95% of girls her age and still in the 50th percentile for weight. The pediatrician looked at Rob and said....I wonder where she gets it!

We also decided after this appointment to start giving Addi rice cereal. Wow, what a fun experience! and by fun I mean messy. =) She opens her mouth and lets me put it in, but about half the time it all comes back out!

I LOVE all of these FIRSTS!

Today Addison rolled from her back to her tummy for the very first time! TWICE! Stripped down in her diaper, on the floor with a blanket underneath her, over she went! Amazing what motivation her favorite toy provides! =) Now she has rolled both ways. yes!
Then this evening, I think she was mocking me. I was laughing at her and so she laughed back. Back and forth we went about ten times, she was just cackling! SO cute!! I spent the rest of the night trying to make her laugh more but she mostly just looked at me like I was crazy. hmm.
We will be celebrating Addison's four month birthday next Tuesday. fun!

Addison Laughed!!!

Okay, Robin was playing with Addison tonight and as she was flying through the air, she laughed....I mean full on, out loud, big girl, laughing! A bunch of times too! It made me laugh and then it made me cry. She is so amazing. Ahhh, i love all these firsts!

To crib or not to crib?

Okay, here is my dilemma.....I LOVE ADDISON SLEEPING WITH US. I know you are all gasping, but seriously, I love it. How could I not? Look at her! Yes I know the "risks", but there all also SO many benefits for her. If you don't believe me, just google it. So many of the top pediatricians are recommending it now. And unless you are on nyquil, or some prescription drug how could a mother EVER roll over on her child?? I find that ludicrous. seriously.
So anywho, here is the dilemma....how often is too often? Right now she is sleeping with us about once or twice a week and she goes down just as easily whether in her crib or with us. But I look forward to the 6am nursing every morning cuz I bring her in bed with me for the rest of the morning.
My friend Beth is a doula and lactation consultant and she is so pro-family bed. You know I wanna jump on that bandwagon and move Addison's crib to the garage as she won't be needing it for a while. LOL just kidding! I do like her sleeping in her crib now and then.
So you moms that have a little more experience than me, email me and tell me where I am headed if I let her sleep in our bed more often than not.

Such a cutey smile from my girl....she is so sweet.

AC Baby Couture is cute!

Okay, so a friend of my friend Heather started this business and lemme tell you these things are flippin' CUTE! They are cases for baby wipes for your diaper bag. I am ordering one as soon as I can decide which one I like best....I have it narrowed down to "Jack" or "Noah" which is weird cuz those are the names of my two cutey nephews! Check them out- you will love them too.... http://acbabycouture.blogspot.com/
Okay, I just ordered "Noah", and better news yet....shipping is free. Love it.

My husband is so gorgeous....

Seriously just made this note so I could put this foxy pic. of Robin on my blog. lol!

Elk Grove was SO much fun!!!

Okay, word of warning right up front, this is going to be a VERY long post, so get ready! We went to Elk Grove last Wednesday to visit Amber and Spencer and also see Rob's cousin Shane in to the CHP academy. We had such a great time! Shane and his fiance Tovah got in on Friday and after that it was a whirlwind getting all of his stuff in order, boots shined, head shaved to get him ready for academy. It was fun to be doing it again, only because it was for someone else to enter! There were times I just had flashbacks of when we were going through that process and how scary it was and how uneasy we felt. It was good for us, but I am glad it is over!! lol Shane was nervous, but that's a good thing. He was NOT excited to shave his head, but it looked really good once they got it done. I liked it better than his normal hair! Sam and Mollie did really good, they were reluctant friends at first, with Sam wanting to play and Mollie being a mean old gramma dog and barking at him! But by the end of the week, they were friends, (until Sam peed on her in the yard, but we are calling that an accident! lol). Sam was funny with Addison, he is in love with her shoes, but its funny, he doesn't chew them, he just licks them to death, and don't try to hide them from him....he WILL find them! He wanted to be close to her and would check on her from time to time. VERY cute. Spencer had to head to Tahoe on Sunday night for work, so we spent the next couple days chillin' during the day and going to Target with Amber at night. I swear we were there like five times. But they do have these great bowls there right now if anyone is interested, we each bought like three packs. super cute. Church was great on Sunday, I really liked that ward when we lived there. It was nice to be back. Amber teaches the 15 year old girls and gave a GREAT lesson of course.
And once again, as always, it was wonderful to stay at The Hotel Savage where they have vanity kits in the bathrooms and different flavors of yummy homemade ice cream like every night! Thanks Am and Spencer, we love you guys!

Busy Busy BUSY!

We are so lucky that Addison is such a great traveler because we have some LONG trips planned! Tomorrow we are going to visit Aunt Amber and Uncle Spencer in Sacramento. While we are there we will also be meeting Shane and Tovah who are coming down to Sac for Shane to enter the CHP academy. Go Chippies! I can see it now, those boys will be Ponch and John.
Then in the middle of February we are driving alllll the way to Oregon and staying there for a little over two weeks. That will be a lot of fun! and plenty of time to visit all the relatives. So any relatives out there that have a vaca coming up, plan it for the end of February in good old Boardman cuz we wanna see you! Jason and Jana? Seth and Rachel, hope to see you! Can't wait!!
