Okay, I am awesome too. lol

I have been mowing the front yard for a few months now. (finally not pregnant or post-partum for five minutes).
and the last few times, I have mowed the back yard. It feels good to get out there and do it. The girls are awesome about it. They just play and wait on me. Even baby Evelyn is a patient girl. It's nice. I am not a master at the weed eater, in fact when I made Robbie show me how to do it, he swiftly confiscated it and said, "Uh, I really enjoy weed eating and edging, why don't you mow and I'll do this". LOL. Ahhh, that tact. hahahaha
So tonight when he got called for an overtime detail, I snuck out there and mowed right after he left. He will be very happy when he gets home in the morning and sees its already done for him. Yay me! ;)

love love love

Okay, so obviously it's been established that Robin is awesome.  Obviously.but i now have another reason why....
The corvette was making a bad noise.  Like a squirrel was dying a squeaky, painful death inside it's front end.  So instead of taking it to a shop, he ordered some parts online, got them super cheaper than in stores and went out and fixed it himself.  Result?...perfect sounding corvette engine and super satisfied husband because doing it yourself it better.  Especially when you enjoy the work.  Good job Babe!

With the powder coated rims.

Ten years later...

Okay, I have to explain my semi-ugly anniversary picture dress....
I found this dress in my closet and got all excited to take pictures in it, because ten years ago, on our honeymoon in Cancun, we have a picture of us and I am wearing this same dress....
well then I went looking for the picture to post both and cannot find the orig. picture.  I can totally remember it too which is frustrating.  My hair is in a braid thing and I am totally sunburnt....ugh. I'll keep looking.

Drapes!

All of the drapes are hung downstairs now!  yay!!!  He did a total of nine windows down here and I love it.  It feels so "finished" to me.  Extra thank you to Robin because Ikea doesn't make those rods in that size.  He had to uncap them, take them to the garage, cut them and then cap them again to make it work.  Whew, thankfully it worked great and you can not tell he had to do that.  Robin's Awesome.

I love this view.  It shows the light and dark paint and the light and dark drapes.  My "blue" dining room is the best thing I did in this house.

Looking from the kitchen in to the living room.  Love the living room.  Wish I could put up those barrier things like at the theatre so no one could walk in there.  lol.

Weird snack

After nap today Addison got up and asked for mixed vegetables. Then she ate two bowls of them.  Whoa.  Kinda Gross.
Then Allie tried a tiny bite of tuna fish and said she wanted it, but then I mixed it with the miracle whip and she said it was "igusting".  lol

2nd bowl of mixed veggies!  yikes!  I can only hope this will not stop in time.

veggies

Evelyn and Addison LOVE mixed veggies.  It's a miracle.  Allie's with me when she made a terrible face and said, "whats that smelllllll?".

The revolt is on

Evelyn is revolting.  Baby food is now only acceptable if it comes in a pouch and don't you dare try to feed her anything at all, because she wants to do it herself, thank you very much!  Super fun. no.

Chillin with my big girls!  Daddy and Eve hangin at lowes.

Holy Moly! We are redoing our guest room and Robin has listed half of whats in there on craiglist! If its not being used right now, it's gone. Yay! finally. I ran in there and snatched my stuff I don't want sold realllly quick!

I have been touch up painting around the house all morning and am soon headed to home depot for more paint. This house is getting ship shape and I love it.

Okay, this is the furniture post.  I have mixed feelings.
We have had these recliners since 2004.  We love the comfort of them.  They are seriously so comfy. And  I love that they swivel all the way around, which is rare in a recliner, these were a special order for that reason.  They are Lane, so they have held up great, but after SO many years and the babies, they were DISGUSTINGly dirty.  Not to mention that Robbie's had a huge tear in it that i refused to fix or have fixed as I was holding out to get new furniture.  Actually more than once, right after Robbie left for work, I planned to drag his to the back yard and light it on fire.  okay, fast forward to just a few days ago, I almost bought a couch.  A huge sectional that would be a wonderful addition to our household.  Then I looked at these chairs we already have sitting here and the guilt hit like a ton of bricks.
So I called and set an appointment to have them professionally cleaned today. (and got the carpet on my stairs cleaned at the same time, yay for that).  And last night I got my hook needle and upholstery thread out, (yes i did own both, surprisingly), and set to work repairing Robbie's chair.  It was harder to make myself actually do it, than the act itself. lol.  I wanted to pull out all the stuffing or light it on fire.  i did neither.

I stitched. and I stitched. and I stitched.

And here are the pics of the finished products.  I have no intention of keeping them forever, but they are here for a few more years anyway.  And having them cleaned was a pittance compared to a new sectional.

The lines you can see on mine are where it's not totally dry yet.  I love that they took them outside to clean them, because I am not even joking, pressure wash, steam, vac, whatever they did was SERIOUS.
