MY NEW ISLAND!!

Okay, I cannot say how excited I am about this...
When we were looking for a house, the one thing I said I did not want was tile countertops. Well...that's what I ended up with. and the majority of the counters it's really not a problem, but I work on my center island and getting the grout clean is nearly impossible. So my wonderful wonderful b.i.l. Spencer is building me concrete countertops.
I saw the ones he just did for their house in SAC and nearly begged him to do a center island for me. I am happy to say that it is sitting in my garage curing right now waiting for the next step. YAY!! It is 540 lbs of happiness to me!

Fire and Police Olympics

Robbie played baseball with Spencer in the police and fire olympics which was held in Santa Clarita this year. It was FUN!! They played on a team that was made up mostly of Sac County Sheriff's. With Spencer being the only DEA agent and Rob being the only Chippie. They had a great time and we loved getting out in the sun. The weather was perfect for baseball. Both guys played awesome and hit the ball like crazy. and they both pitched! It had been over ten years for both of them!

 

 

 

 

Pinata!!

So for Grandpa's birthday we got Addison a pinata. I know that doesn't make sense, you would have to know us to understand. lol. Dad gets to buy us stuff for his birthday....it's fun. and it adds meaning to his life, so everyone wins.
So you can see by these pics how things went. First Robbie tried to help her understand to hit it with the bat and then she became the bat. Not sure if that was a good idea, but she loved it. So all's well that ends well I guess.

 

 

 

 

Once we finally got the pinata open, Addison immediately started picking up the candy and putting it back in the donkey. Apparently cleaning it up is the best fun of all!

Allie's Blessing Day

I have so much to get on here and most importantly is Allie's Blessing. It was so wonderful. She was blessed on June 7th and Grandma and Grandpa Smythe, Aunt Amber and Great Gma came to see her. It was the most beautiful blessing and the feeling I got was that it was truly HER blessing. It was so in tune to who she is. Very special.
Rob did an awesome job and seemed like an old pro, and Al was totally cooperative, not crying at all.

Addison is such a lovey. She just kissed her Teddy Graham and then ate him. She is thankful for his sacrifice to be her snack. lol.

My New Beautiful Bedroom

Amber has struck again and I COULD NOT be happier! Our bedroom was a mish mash of trash before she came and saved it. Once again I gave her the budget (oops) and she gave me orders on what paint to get on the walls. So Rob and I painted and she did EVERYTHING else. Did I mention I am the luckiest girl in the world?????

 

I love these shelves. You can't tell how great they are from the pics, they are soo elegant. I need some sepia photos for the frames and a couple large canvases with pictures of the girls on them, then we will be done. The large canvases will hang over the bed. I AM SO EXCITED!

My sister amazes me in how she can take pictures of a room she has seen twice and create something like this. I live here and I didn't have a clue. She definitely has a gift.

Update to Big Girl Bed...

When Rob got up this morning for court, he found Addison (and her king size pillow and her blanket and her sippy cup) right outside her bedroom door and there in a lump of baby, was Addison sound asleep. lol. She never even cried or yelled or anything. I guess she just wanted a change of scenery. =)
