Toys in Bed?

Okay, occasionally when I put the adorable Addison down to bed, she doesn't actually go to sleep right away....I know - shocking right? Like today for instance, I put her down at 4pm cuz that's naptime...but apparently she is not tired as it is now 5pm and she is in there playing. I thought she was asleep because it's silent in there, but nope, I peeked and she is rolling around her crib just playing around with her blanky. My question is this...Should I give her a toy in her crib or will this give the idea that cribs are not just for sleeping? Come on girls, I really do want advice on this one! So weigh in. Please!

A very busy Saturday...

We had a verrry busy day today and Addison had so much fun! It started with a Princess Birthday party for our friend's daughter Brooke, she turned 3. The party was great and Addison loved watching all the other little kids run around and play on the jumper. After a couple hours at the party, we had plans to go visit Bob and Julie at their new house. Once we got there, there were a few other couples there with their kids. It was kids kids kids today! In the pictures you can see Landon and Addison holding hands, it was so cute. and it seriously was not staged, they were just holding hands. SO CUTE!

So Cute! I just sat there in awe! When did she learn how to do this?? I will post video when I have time.

No more swaddling....

I am putting this post up for those of you who have lost countless hours of sleep and attended many therapy sessions in an effort to deal with Addison being swaddled....you know who you are...
As of last Wednesday, Addison is no longer swaddled, ever. She is a big girl now and sleeps in her cribby all night and has a nap in her swing each morning. So now we can all rest easier....but you can expect the swaddles back out with our next baby, they are miracle workers!

Tooth?!

Oh yes it is true. Rob discovered Addison's first tooth this evening as she was chewing on his knuckle. Cutey little tooth just sticking barely through the gums. We had no idea she was teething, no drooling, no fussiness, nothing. Maybe all of that is to come....we'll see. =)

Twins?...Seriously?...

So Rob has been super busy, sleeping a little and Working A LOT....yet when I walked in the office today, this was on his screen...

Yeah, that is pretty shocking right????

Here is one of the actual photos that he manipulated...

He is so funny and was so proud of himself! Look at her arms, and my arms, they totally look like there are two babies. Kinda creepy actually! =)

Thank you Heather for the SO cute easter outfit. LOVE the hat and matching shoes. I have been waiting for her to grow in to this so she can wear it constantly! I LOVE it!!!

Babies NEED binkies!

One of the best things about getting to go home was the opportunity to spend time with Seth, Rachel and of course, our dear friend Jim.
Jimmy is the one cousin Addison has spent the most time with and he never ceases to crack us up. From the time she was tiny (at her blessing) whenever she would fuss or cry (or occasionally scream), Jimmy would be on a mad hunt for a binkie...never giving up his mind you, but maybe an extra one he would lend. It was so funny to watch him show so much empathy for her. It was like he was telling her, "we're in this together, the big people don't understand the binkie". lol We love you Jimmy.

Meeting the boys.

While we were home we also got to see our good friends Dustin and Shannon. It felt like we had come full circle, these men stood up at our wedding and now after six years of marriage, we get to introduce our beautiful daughter to them. It always brings back such good memories to see you two. Thank you for being such great friends over the years and the distance! We miss you guys.

Meeting a special friend...

I promised pictures from our Oregon trip and here is a very special one. While we were there we were able to meet up with one of my very oldest friends, Crystal. We were also lucky enough to see her husband Shawn and meet her perfect little Cora Marie. I wished we lived closer to one another so the girls could get to know one another. and Crystal, I wish we had gotten a picture of us together...did that pic on your phone turn out? It was so great seeing their little family and introducing ours! =)

So much fun!

Addison is now a pro at her activity center. She gets it now and has figured out the little blue and purple balls are fun to throw. Thanks Aunt Carol, she is getting a lot of fun out of this!

A Day at the Park.

We have a park just a block from our house, but until recently, the walk -through to get from the neighborhood to the park has been closed for renovation. It is now open! This Sunday was our first adventure at this park and it was a gorgeous day.

Is that a tattoo??!!

So if you will look at Addison's tiny bicep you will see some interesting artwork. Yes this is Rob's version of a "mom" tattoo. This is what happens when I am on the phone too long. When asked why it is so messy he claimed she was "too squirmy and I had to hurry because I thought you were going to catch me".
