I detest buying tires. Detest.

'Tis the Season

Rob and i went Christmas shopping together yesterday.  I like him, really sincerely enjoy him.  Now that is a blessing.

The most important decision you will make is who you marry.  Without a doubt, for sure.  It is not something to rush into the first time (or the second) you fall in love.

I chose someone very like my Dad and that choice has served me very well.  You would be wise to do the same.

The girls have been sick on and off now for what seems like months. So today we took them to the dr. and got them on antibiotics. Anyway, tonight I got out the saline and bulb in an effort to flush out the gunk and went to Allie. Flushed her nose, no drama. Addison---different story.
After completely losing my patience and nearly pinning her to the bed and squirting the saline up her nose, I felt nothing short of hideous. I even knew it at the time, which made it worse. I felt mean.
So, as she was crying, I picked her up in my arms and stood and rocked her back and forth. We didn't talk, but, as she was exhausted, she was soon fading off. All the way to sleep, and I laid her down. I hope that comforted her more than it has me. I just feel terrible.

Evelyn loves her sissies. She crawled over to Allie tonight, jumped up and hugged her like crazy. After hug four Eve did maybe try to push her off her chair. But with love I am sure. :))

Addison, Allie, Evelyn Macie,

I will never be so thankful for anything, more than I am thankful you are My Girls, My Loves.

There are countless directions your feet May take you.

When I was pregnant with each of you, I always thought, and prayed, for you to be "happy, healthy, and strong". It was nearly my mantra both while pregnant and while laboring to bear each of you. I can remember contracting steadily, constantly, and just concentrating on the pain. Knowing it was for a specific, beautiful purpose. Knowing it was for you. And for that reason, I never dreaded labor. I was not ever afraid. It was necessary.

There will be many choices in your lives, some will bring you pain both emotionally and physically, and through them you will have the free agency to choose for yourselves what is right and good. When you are choosing, my prayer would be for you to remember your specific purpose. And that sometimes the pain is necessary. If your goal brings you closer to all you are meant to be, closer to your Heavenly Father, than it is your beautiful purpose, it is necessary.
Whenever you are confused, or unsure, you will always have good examples in your family. Examples of strong women who are righteous daughters of your Heavenly Father. Auntie Amber, among others, will hear you and love you and help you. Do not hesitate to ask. Anything.
I love you three, so so so. You are my all. For you I am thankful.

Everyone in my house was asleep tonight by 7:30.   The girls were so tired, we all had a busy day.
Rob goes back to work tomorrow, day one of his last 4 before vacation.  YESSSSS!
I can do 4 days.   :)

Pottery Barn stockings

These are the best stockings I have found and I just wanted everyone to know they are on sale for $19 and shipping is free.  The personalization is $7.  I have them for my girls and they are the cutest and always look new.  Love them!

Just waiting for Robbie to get home from work, getting ready to eat some white chicken chili.  It is without a doubt one of my favorite foods.  Sadly, it is also a food that made Addison look like Hitch.  We knew she was very allergic to walnuts, but there is something in white chicken chili that she is very allergic to as well.  Think: eye swelling shut, hundreds of hives and bright red rash all over her body and face.
Luckily there is a fantastic pediatric allergist that comes out from Wilshire Blvd to Lancaster,  shocking I know! but there is and he is the one who tested her before.  We will go again this week and get her further tested.  Last time we went, she reacted so strongly to the walnut, he had to quit immediately and not test her further.  This time we will leave walnut out and she'll be tested for 24 different possibilities.  When I thought it was just tree nuts, I wasn't super scared because those are pretty easy to avoid.  But now that she had that drastic reaction to the chicken chili, we definitely need answers.  When your kid is fine one minute and the next she looks like Hitch, it's time to do some testing.  for sure.

My purse

Evelyn,  you are showing your colors.  Yesterday in the loft you were cruising around with a little black purse  on your arm, I thought it was cute, but didn't think much of it.  Well today you are adamant.  You got Addison's purse, over your arm it went and that was it.  You have been crawling and cruising around with that thing over your arm for a good ten minutes now.  Off you go big girl!
Great Grandma just emailed me and pointed out she could see Eve's top tooth in this pic.  She is actually getting six across the top right now.  Poor baby.  But yay for teeth!

Okay it's finally real....

Yes I am talking about vacation! It's finally real to me that in a mere 9 days, Robbie is on vaca. OMGOSH. where did this year go? I am seriously thankful for the blog this year as I know we were crazy busy and there's no way I can remember everything.
Anywho - ya - 9 days! :))))

Special friend...

Today we went to get the mail and guess what we got??
Stickers from the girls' "special friend".  Thank you secret special friend for the amaaaazing stickers.  They are saving some to take to church tomorrow.  :)

and I have to thank Amber.  These are my fave boots the girls have ever had.  They were Addi's but now are Allie's.  They were a little too dirty to wear as Addi wore them constantly.  Amber said, "just throw them in the washer". that struck fear in my heart, but then I did it and now they seriously look BRAND NEW.
Allie loves them and calls them her "nuggly boots".  So cute. thanks Am!

slippers...

This is what happens when my sweet husband walks in to Target, (NOT his favorite place on earth), and whisks my girls off with him while my sister and I shop uninterrupted.  I appreciate him so much and the girls have WAY more fun with Daddy.  Thank you Robbie :)
and I LOVE this picture.

i heart peaches

Allie just came down from nap, saw I was baking cookies but wanted some peach like Addi was having.  She comes over with her bin and says, "I want some peaches, cookies are not healthy, but peaches are healthy for our bottom".  She meant body.  LOL.  I am always telling them what is healthy and what is not healthy and apparently she was listening...kinda.

Tonight I am most thankful That we had a safe trip to Amber's and back and that all the girls travel so well. But I am also thankful for the following...

#1
I am thankful for my iPad but also for this handy little card reader I can put in the slot, then take the card out of my camera and stick in, waalaaaaa pics straight from camera to iPad anywhere! Yes. I love technology.

I am also very thankful I can make my phone an internet hotspot, then use the wifi to have Internet on my iPad. Loved playing hangin with friends all the way to elk grove. :)))))

I am thankful for my visiting teachers and that even though I am never home, they still make the effort to see me and let me know I am thought of. This was on my door step when I got home today.

Addicted to warm drinks once again, lovin' some spiced cider with Carmel in it....yum mm mm

The 2 sides of Evelyn Macie.

She either does this....

                                                                           ...or this.
