Today has been a total playhouse kind of day. We played and cleaned it this morning and then the big girls took their naps out there and then watched Polar Express. They are just coming in now for dinner. :) Play house Air Conditioner was a GREAT idea. Sometimes you just need a change of scenery... :)
We are at church two days in a row....yesterday was the primary pioneer day activity and today church. Fun stuff babes.
and I just realized right now, after thinking all day that he works TOMORROW, that he DOES NOT. :)))))) It's an RDO. Yay!
The play house mailbox was lots of fun today!! Each girl got a special note and a littlest pet shop animal. They are pretty excited about it! Thanks special friend. ;) I think Sweet Scarlett may have gotten one too! :)
Time to fill the box...
There Is a very dear woman in this world and I know her as Sister Poe. I have always known her as Sister Poe. Her first name is La Rae, but never in my life would I dare be so bold as to speak her first name.
She was "an older woman" when I was a child and she is an older woman now. She has changed very little, in literally, 25 years.
Many things make this woman special, but the one that sticks in my mind, is that she has written and lives by, what she calls, her Mission Statement. It is completely of her own device, it is all encompassing, and she has committed it to memory to recite often to herself.
I have been fortunate enough to not only hear It, but I've got a copy. It is not my place to divulge, and really that's not the point. The point is that she, as a woman, knows Exactly who she Is. She knows who she has been in the past and she has specific goals about who she will be in the future.
Is that not refreshing? Is that not inspiring and a little bit amazing?
She lives in the same world we do where women's roles are being torn up, chewed on, spit out and stomped on. But It does not matter. The world has changed significantly since she wrote her mission statement and it will continue to change in her years to come. But there will be no revisions to Sister Poe's mission statement. Of that I am sure.
Macie: When are we moving? Me: (laughing) To a new house? Macie we are never moving. Why? Macie: We need to move to a new house that has more hot dogs. Allie: NOOOOO! We can never move, then we won't have Scarlett. OKay, that was pure randomness....and Evelyn Macie's world revolves around hot dogs. LOL
When I can hear the wind whipping against the back of my house, I'm thinking fireworks are a BAD idea! :((((
She got to choose her own back pack and she was ecstatic when it came. Then we decided that our colored pencils were the perfect tool to color it with and she's been busy ever since! She Is so happy. Lol
So she hadn't recovered....She threw up twice yesterday after church and twice last night in the middle of the night. :( Her fever has gotten progressively cooler since yesterday, so I am taking that as a good sign. She is a trooper.
