Flying gets more difficult....

So last time when we flew to Oregon Addison was still a tiny baby and she slept and nursed the entire way. Naively, I thought she would do this again and we would have another quiet peaceful flight.

No.
We early boarded the plane and I did nurse Addison, for about two seconds until everyone else started boarding....then she popped up and had to check everyone out. and I mean everyone. She was just being a TOTAL ham. Smiling, cooing and just being downright adorable.

So then I wrestle her back down to nurse during takeoff and the yelling begins. Not crying or screaming, but just yelling, like "help help, she is trying to smother me" lol. So I let her stand up and look out the window and then laid her down on the seat next to me (luckily the whole row was empty) for her to play. She was up and down and up and down the rest of the flight. The days of my peaceful quiet flights are definitely over.

Bunny Slippers ARE church shoes!

So many Sundays as I am running around getting ready to go to church, the task of getting Addison dressed falls on Rob's shoulders. Today was one of those days. I had prepared though by setting out her Valentines jumper the night before, all he had to do was put it on her. Which he did. He also put her in her carseat and covered her with her matching red blankey. I should have known something was up.

We get to church and sure enough...something was up....

Traveler Girl

Well, we made it back from Great Grandma's last night and now we are in the whirlwind of life trying to get ready to go to Oregon! We fly out on Tuesday and I am not at all ready. How do I pack for 3 weeks? seriously.
Addison and I will fly and then Robbie will drive later in the week to get there in time for William's 16th birthday party. And then we will have almost three weeks together seeing friends and enjoying our families. Should be tons of fun! But where do I even start?....

Great Grandma's house was FUN!

We went to Great Grandma's house last Wednesday and spent a few days enjoying the spoilage that occurs there! of Addison and of me!
Addison slept all the way there, the five hour drive is a pretty easy one, so that is nice. Addison spent Wednesday night charming her Great Gma. She ALWAYS has a smile for her, its soo cute. Even on the phone Addison listens and smiles to gma's voice.
Then on Thursday, she had a VERY fun day. She spent most of the day in the front pack outside watching Daddy do some jobs around Great Grandma's and going for walks. It was so nice to be outside, but it wore her out!
We were brave and did not take the swing to Great Gma's, but she does have a porta-crib that was perfect for Addi. She loved it and to my relief, she slept wonderfully in it. Not only did we not bring the swing, but I walked off and forgot her white noise machine. big no no. Luckily Grandma had an old radio and we tuned it to some static and waalaa!! White noise!! She was a happy camper and a good sleeper.
The cutest thing was that we had a huge king sized comforter down on the floor for Addison to play on and we got busy in the house, after a couple minutes, I looked over to check on her and yep, there she was, all the way off the blanket, under the coffee table. Happy as a clam and talking up a storm. She can roll so fast now, she is a little pro! and I did see her pulling on her playmat in an effort to scooch forward, so I think army crawling is in our very near future!! yikes! I think she forgets she is only 4 1/2 months old!
Thanks Grandma for a great time!

Ugh...tv.

This is Addison just about breaking her little back in an effort to watch tv. Seriously. I put her on my bed today in her boppy (facing away from the tv) while I ran to put my sheets in the wash, (she barfed on them this morning). I came back in and here she was. Ugh...tv.
