Santa Monica Beach

While Lisa was here we went to LA. Rob was being awarded special recognition by Mothers Against Drunk Driving for arresting over fifty drunk drivers in 2008. He in fact arrested 72, second highest in his office. We were very proud of him!
The next morning we headed over to Santa Monica. Addison loved the beach! It was pretty cold, but that didn't bother her a bit.

Signing is Wonderful!

So we have these "Baby Signing Time" dvds which are awesome and we watch them like once a week. A couple months ago Addison started signing just little things: eat, bird, more, etc.
Well just now she signed to Robbie, "more drink please".
YAY!!! She can tell us when she needs a new diaper, (she holds her nose and makes a bad face). She also signs eat, drink, more, cracker, sleep, dog, cat, bird, please, all done, that's all I can remember right now. But it's SO nice that she can just come over and tell me what she needs or wants. I am going to look up more signs for different foods and household stuff. I like her to learn signs that she can use to help herself communicate things she needs or wants. But I am not going to teach her how to sign peanut butter because that's all she'll ever want to eat!! lol
Addison is also starting to talk a little. (beyond saying Mom =) She said more more more the other day and quack quack quack when we were looking at a duck in a book. It's so fun.

Sad.

Having sick kids is sad.
Addison woke up this morning screaming. I jumped up and RAN in there and it was a very sad sight. She was standing there with boogers EVERYWHERE on her little face. So SAD.
Now if Allie gets it, then we will really have a serious problem.
