On Saturday we visited the Fair, whose official name is the Antelope Valley Fair and Alfalfa Festival. lol. Why does that make me laugh? I seriously do not know, but it does every time.
Anywho, we went over in the afternoon and strolled through the festivities. Our main goal was to see the animals, sheep, cows, etc. Boy were we in for a surprise....apparently this is quite the exotic fair because we also saw some VERY funky llama type animals. (pic to follow)
Anyway, Addison liked the goats, wrinkled her nose at the chicken barn (stiiiiiiinky), and when we got to the llamas she was thoroughly confused. It cracked us up. She just kept looking at it and then looking at me. like, "mom seriously? what is this thing????" She definitely does not have a llama in any of her books. lol
But I totally blew it in one category...food! We had eaten right before we went which further proves my rookiness at the fair experience. Because boy did we miss out on some fantastic fair food. The only thing we couldn't resist was shave ice.
Overall the day was a success! =)

I want to walk!
So two mornings ago Addison got up in the morning and decided she wanted to walk. Everywhere she went she was on her feet and moving. SO cute! Before that she had walked while holding on to furniture. She has been doing that for months, but this was different. So when Robbie got up we sat about eight feet apart and just tried it, and sure enough away she went. SO cute! It was so hard not to scream when she did so good, but I kept quiet and away she went. Big girl!!

Chubby thighs are hazardous!
So yesterday the punky went down for her nap and she was in her b talking and playing with her sweetpea and then all of the sudden, screaming!!!
Agh! So I went in because she doesn't scream, and sure enough, she is laying flat on her back and her tiny baby chubby thigh is STUCK in between the bars of her cribby. Really stuck. Like I am working on her chubs and the leg is not coming out. So I run to the door and yell at Rob, who has just gone to bed to GET UP! and he comes running in. Works a little on her thigh and it is NOT coming out of the bars, so he pries the bars apart and I work her little thigh out. Whew. She was smiling within a few seconds even though her thigh was red. I was definitely more scared about the whole thing than she was! Traumatizing!

Back to Oregon
Okay, I am a bad blogger and it's sad cuz we have been doing a lot!!
This last weekend we ended up going home for a week because Grandma Zeller had to have some surgery. We were really worried about her, but I am sooo happy to say that she has had the surgery and is doing really well. She is a tough old bird! =) and we love her. It was great to be home again spending time with her and our families, even if it was for a not fun reason.
We did have some funny moments while we were there. Grandpa Bob introduced Addison to a food I would NEVER in a million years have thought of.....cucumbers in vinegar with onions. For those of you who have not experienced this delicacy, let me explain. Basically you just take a cucumber or two and peel it and slice it them in to vinegar. Then you take a white onion and slice it in as well. Add some ice cubes and a little sugar and salt and let it sit in the fridge and get all mixed up good. The next day it is the yummiest thing in the world. I thought my family were the only people in the world who ate cucumbers this way, but apparently I was wrong. Grandpa Bob was holding Addison as he ate some, she acted interested and so he shared with her and she LOVED it. Babies aren't supposed to like that stuff! little weirdo. Having cucumbers with Grandpa

This is us in Leavenworth, WA. I am holding Ellie and Addison while Jana ordered us lunch. What a fun time it was and so fun to have the two little girls together.

Welcome to Lancaster!
This last weekend was a lot of fun. On Saturday Shane and Tovah (Robbie's cousin and his wife) and my bff Heather came to visit us!! It was so nice to have friends and family all here to just enjoy each other. We bbq'ed and made homemade ice cream (after an exhaustive search of the entire house and garage for the motor part of the ice cream freezer, do not get me started on that!!!) but everything turned out great and we had a great time. =)
Shane is on FTO right now and had some questions on some reports so it was nice for Rob to be able to help him. Boy do I remember those days. Hard to believe that was only a year ago!! Shane has no idea the fun he has in store!
It was SO nice to have Heather come visit because although we email and text constantly, I need to see her in the flesh too! and plus she loves my Addison so much. I like to see her with her. It's so sweet. But I am mad I took no photos =( I will take a hundred when we go to the beach next month to visit her.
