Roomba

Quite a few years ago Robbie and I got Grandma a Roomba vacuum like mine for Christmas.  It has worked wonderfully until about six months or so ago.  She brought it down for Robbie to look at; upon contacting Roomba they said, "sorry, it's old, warranty is up, but we will give you a credit toward a new machine".
and that was nice.  However, Rob does not give up that easily.  He did mass internet research, ordered a two tiny little new infra-red sensor chips, took the Roomba completely apart, sautered in the new chips and...voila.  Now works wonderfully.  After that he did a hard reset on the battery and I kid you not, the thing works like NEW.  To say that least, I am IMPRESSED.  Good job babe!
This is a pic of one of the sensors.  The sensors he replaced were about half this size!

Bon Bons

Don't bother me, I am vacuuming while simultaneously mopping. LOL!
Thank you little robots.  I have played "the fish game", paper dolls and princess dominoes this morning, after I was on my elliptical for 40 minutes.  Whew, doing the floors is hard work!

and even more excited about the best Christmas present I could have imagined.....
It's the MINT, and it scrubs my hardwood floors for me.  Yes, it's true, and I LOVE this thing. LOVE.

Christmas Morning!

Addi was the first to wake up and she came right to my room VERY excited.  I jumped out of bed and we ran to get Evelyn Macie, by that time Allie got up and we all went back to my room.  Rob ran in in the nick of time from work and away we went down the stairs.  Allie, then Addison then me and Macie.  it was wonderful!  Addison spotted Lotso right away and the shrieking began!

Grandpa Smythe made the girls rocking chairs for their babies and Allie put her Snow White Santa brought her right in it.  LOVE.

Silly Adds. She asked for an "Easy Feet" and got it.  She was pretty excited. lol.
This is where Eve spent the majority of her morning.   I had to coax her out of her chair.  She loves it!

Thanks Auntie Amber, she loves her apron!

Allie's all tuckered out.

All of our faves.  These rockers are the perfect size for all of their babies.
This is a happy little girl!

My Baby

Last night when I put Evelyn down I stroked her hair and face, just as I always do.  Then I always say "nigh-night my Baby nigh night".  Well last night I got the first "nigh-night" out and she quickly responded with one of her own, clear as day, "nigh-nigh". She was so proud and so happy.   I just exploded in laughter and I'm sure she thought me crazy, but I couldn't help myself.  She just smiled and smiled.  My jabber jaw baby is my sweet baby.  I look forward to many more of these little surprises.  I love you Evelyn Macie.

And necklace

Jessie

And a necklace for Jessie the Cowgirl!

Christmas craft

Making bracelets  :)

On my elliptical remembering how amazing it feels to really really drip in sweat.
Girls. Exercise. Every day. You don't want to be the girl in the horror movie that falls down and screams.
Also- exercise because the zombies are coming and because Strong is the new Beautiful. Just do it!

Preparations have begun!

Sugar cookies are decorated and done, Robbie's cherry cheesecake is done.  Turkey is in the brine, (thank you Aunt Carol), hickory is soaking.

Tomorrow will be a day filled with first baking and then cooking.  Cannot wait.
So glad we have our Christmas Dinner on Christmas Eve.  My family has always done it and it's soo much better for me.  That way, once dinner is over, its pure enjoyment and no stress.  Christmas Eve is the magical day for me as it's a wonderful dinner and pure anticipation.  I remember it as a child and I am glad I can remember the magical feeling I had.  I can only hope I can recreate that for my children.

The tradition at my house is that we all would come down the stairs in order of youngest to oldest. So Amber always got to be first and I am not sure how she survived getting pushed down the stairs by me every single year.  At the bottom of the stairs, we'd fly around the corner, there were the stocking hung on the half wall.
As a child, one of my favorite Christmas memories is coming down the stairs, around the corner, and seeing a Strawberry Shortcake high chair.  I knew right away that high chair was for me.  I think I cried I was so happy.

Allie wanted to make sure the fireplace was nice and clean of ash for Santa to come down.

Good work my sweets.
